I am very interested in self>dream interpretation, however, I am very skeptical as to what to actually believe from what I find on the internet. I believe that dreams are completely personal to ones subconscious, therefore I know that a definition cannot be given to an object or occurrence in ones dream from a website or list implying that "generally" that is what that object/action means to most people. We are all different in too many ways to count, so I don’t think that anything in our dreams can mean the same thing as someone else besides coincidence or at least that’s what I think anyways. But if any of you know different studies or books/websites that you think would be helpful I would really appreciate it.
Hi Lindz,
I interpreted my first dream when I was 19 years old. I am now 51. My introduction was due to the panic attacks I suffered. Here is an example of a dream and its interpretation. One of the things I used to do is to make up fear by thinking of things that could not possibly happen but this is what panic attack sufferers do. Early on during my struggles with panic attacks I saw this dream: I was being chased by a dog. I was very very afraid. When I looked back as I was running away, I saw that the dog did not have mouth. He had a loud scary bark but did not have mouth. The interpretation of this dream is: that my fear is not real. I am afraid but I cannot be hurt because it is not real.
So your dreams are personal they mean something to you and they are usually about something you ignored, some feeling or thought you are ignoring. Dreams help us complete the incomplete things in our lives. They can bring clarity to your thoughts if you practice interpretation.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write my first answer. Very good question.

Libraries should have a few books about it.
Quit being lazy and look for them in bookstores.

Hi Lindz,
As someone who has been interpreting dreams for over 30 years I can tell you that your skepticism is well founded. You are correct that if I see a rabbit in my dream and you see a rabbit in your dream that rabbit does not mean the same thing for both of us. Don’t believe those "dream dictionaries."
