that guy was pretty cool. i dont think he was so much prepared for thier skeptacism. i would have asked-what about experiances people have in thier dreams which is metaphorically relative to experiances in life? are all of these mere coincedences or is there something more behind it?
SP scares the crap …
SP scares the crap out of you the first time doesn’t it, I’m so used to it now I rarely get scared anymore I just lie there waiting for my body to catch up to my brain, thinking ah crap SP again. The first few times I was terrified, I tried to call for help but couldn’t move my mouth. I was afraid to go to sleep for days and I developed insomnia. But as soon as you know what it is it’s not as scary.

I used to have lucid dreams, sleep paralysis, and OBEs almsot every night. There is a sensation while having an OBE of rising out of your body, but the most reasonable explanation is that it’s a brain state, not some spiritual experience.
I’ve also read that dreams haven’t been fully explained, but it’s the reason for dreaming that hasn’t been explained, besides physical healing. That’s probably what this guy read. A lot of the brain processes have been explained.

Sounds like this guy suffers from sleep paralysis, or a similar condition. I suffer from sleep paralysis and I have what could be called out of body experiences all the time, of course it’s really just my body staying asleep while my brain is waking up. Hallucinations are common. Sometimes I even see a black figure with horns like the devil, but I realize it’s just my brain not realizing I’m awake. There is always a rational answer.

Damn, If you’re going to call in to a radio or TV, it’s nice to have a POINT or a question thought out beforehand! I don’t know what this guy was calling for.
I guess he was saying, “Because I do Astral Projection, and there’s some vague mention of it in the Bible, I believe in God.” Though even if astral projection was shown to be a real metaphysical thing and not just some kind of all-in-your-head meditation, I still don’t see how that proves the existence of deity.

I agree with this show’s ideas, but seriously, you can’t deny that the hosts are offensive. They make faces, they’re sarcastic, and basically mock the caller. They say the show is “To spread the ideas of Atheism” And that they “Respect people’s beliefs”, yet they mock them? It’s like they think anyone who disagrees is a complete asshole.
