The utopian, but several years intensive works of Herman Sörgel in 1920´s about giving work, energy and unity to all countries around Medditerean Sea was a dream, but it can be also seen as the sign of contemporary desilusions from "improving the world". The video combines narrative audio from the document "Atlantropa. Der Tram vom neuen Kontinent" with video of an fly with damage wing, turning around itself on the imitation of wooden floor. The video space around suffering fly is changing according to the story. The drawing interventions are not the illustrations in proper sense. They borderded the meanings from the text, but in a little bit another way than in the narrating story. Instead of picture of new continent Atlantropa only the gap the space is shown, which the continent divides – the Medditerrean sea. At the other place only the bridge can be seen, instead of the visible borders of the states. At the end of the video, the character of drawings changes from technical black and white to the coloured aquarrells, which brings the early Sörgel´s attempts to realize this utopia back to the imagination.
